Wednesday Morning Earnings Reports

A number of companies released earnings following Tuesday's closing bell and before Wednesday's opening bell.

Below are some of the highlights.

Apple AAPL 3Q EPS of $1.28 compared to estimates of $1.23. Revenue $37.43 billion underneath consensus $37.99 billion.

Delta Air Lines DAL reported Q2 EPS of $1.04 versus the estimated $1.03, beating by $0.01. EPS up six percent from the same quarter last year. Revenue came in at $10.60 billion versus the estimated $10.64 billion. Sales were up nine percent year over year.

PepsiCo PEP gained more than two percent in pre-market trading after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter results and raised its full-year earnings outlook.

Boeing BA reported EPS of $2.24, beating estimates of $1.99 and revenue beat; $22.05 billion in revenue compared to estimates of $22.44 billion. The company raised full year 2014 EPS guidance from $7.15-7.35 to $7.90-8.10 versus the $7.60 analyst estimate.

Whirlpool WHR reported Q2 Ongoing Business EPS of $2.62 versus the estimated $2.91, missing by $0.29. EPS up 11 percent from the same quarter last year. Revenue came in at $4.70 billion versus the estimated $4.84 billion. Sales were down one percent year over year.

Broadcom BRCM reported 2Q Adj. EPS beat of $0.65 compared to EPS estimates of $0.61 and revenue of 2.04 billion compared to consensus 2.05 billion.

Check Point Software Technologies CHKP 2Q Adj. EPS of $0.89 compared to estimates of $0.87 and Revevnue topped estimates of $359.45 million, coming out to $363 million.

Electronic Arts EA reported EPS of $0.19 versus estimates of -$0.04 with revenue of $775 million compared to revenue estimates of $709.15 million. The company forecast fiscal second-quarter adjusted earnings of $0.50 per share on adjusted revenue of $965 million. Analysts expect $0.51 on revenue of $1.14 billion.

Juniper Networks JNPR 3Q EPS of $0.40 compared to analyst expectations of $0.38 and revenue of $1.23 billion compared to estimates of $1.22 billion.

LG Display LPL 2Q Net Income 258.3 billion won versus analyst estimates of 124.6 billion won.

Linear Technology LLTC 4Q Adj. EPS of $0.53 compared to expectations of $0.51 and revenue of $365.40 million compared to estimates of $362.51 million.

Manhattan Associates MANH reported EPS for the quarter of $0.29 compared to expectations of $0.27 and reveue of $122.50 million beating estimates of $115.04 million. Management predicts Year Adj. EPS to be in the range of $1.10 to $1.12.

Microsoft MSFT 4Q EPS missed EPS estimates of $0.61 by reporting EPS of $0.55; revenue came out to $23.38 billion, beating estimates of $23.11 billion. Microsoft sees 1Q Commercial Segment revenue between $12 billion to $12.2 billion.

STMicroelectronics NV STM 2Q EPS of $0.04 beating estimates of $0.03 and revenue of $1.86 billion versus $1.89 billion.

TE Connectivity TEL 3Q Adjusted EPS $1 compared to estimates of $0.99 ; revenue of $3.58 billion came under estimates of $3.60 billion.

Total System Services TSS 2Q Adj. EPS of $0.45 right in-line with estimates of $0.45; revenue of $602 million versus estimates of $596.58 million.

Unisys UIS 2Q EPS of $0.11 compared to estimates of $0.07 and revenues came under estimates of $573.64 million.

VMware VMW 2Q Adj. EPS $0.81 compared to estimates of $0.79 and revenues of $1.46 billion beat expectations of $1.44 billion.

Xilinx XLNX 2Q EPS of $0.62 compared to estimates of $0.61 with revenues of $612.60 million came under estimates of $631.42 million.
