Humana Inc HUM jumped a further 14 percent in late trading Friday to $214.60. The company was reported earlier to be considering offers. Shares closed up earlier more than 5 percent.

SouFun Holdings Ltd SFUN recouped some losses in the extended session Friday, rising more than 3 percent to $7.69 a share. The Chinese real estate Internet portal closed down more than 4 percent earlier and didn't issue news Friday.

XBiotech Inc XBIT picked up more than 3 percent in Friday's extended session, trading at $19.60. Shares closed down about 4 percent for the week. The company said Thursday a clinical hold was lifted on a trial of its treatment for treating a form of staph infections.

NeoPhotonics Corp NPTN rose about 2 percent following the bell to $8.47. The provider of photonic components for communications completed a follow-on offering of nearly 6 million shares Wednesday at $7.25 a share.

SINA Corp SINA gained about 1.9 percent to $41.50 in late trading. The China-based online media company closed down about 1.7 percent earlier and didn't issue news.

Enerplus Corp (USA) ERF rose 1.3 percent to $9.76 after the bell Friday. The Calgary-based energy producing company closed down about 10 percent this week and didn't issue news Friday.

Sierra Wireless, Inc. (USA) SWIR declined about 3.5 percent to $29.50 in late trading. Shares closed up earlier by a similar percentage on no obvious catalyst for the company, which provides products to link electronic devices in the Internet of Things.

Energy XXI Ltd EXXI lost more than 3 percent to $3.35 in the extended session. The Bermuda-based oil and gas company focused on the Gulf of Mexico had earlier closed down 3 percent for the week.

Cigna Corporation CI slipped nearly 2 percent after the bell Friday to $138.06. The health insurer closed up 3.6 percent Friday on a report it had approached Humana about a bid.

DeVry Education Group Inc DV dipped 1.5 percent in late trading to $31.33. The company, which shares are off about 33 percent year-to-date, didn't issue any recent news.

Anthem Inc ANTM fell nearly 1.5 percent to $165.42 in after-hours trading. Shares of the health insurer closed up 2 percent earlier Friday.
