Bemis Closes SteriPack Group Acquisition For Undisclosed Terms

Bemis Company, Inc. BMS disclosed that it completed the acquisition of SteriPack Group, a global manufacturer of sterile packaging solutions for medical device and pharmaceutical applications, for undisclosed terms. According to the company, the acquired firm was also engaged in medical device packaging operations, as well as related value-added services.

Bemis said that deal the included a facility in Ireland, as well as packaging production assets in Malaysia and the United States. The company added that these operations recorded net sales of approximately US$65 million on an annualized basis in fiscal 2015.

The company indicated the acquired firm would continue to function independently on its own and operate its contract manufacturing services business. The company didn't reveal any other details of the transaction.
