Tuesday's After-Hours Movers: Etsy, Bank Of America, Container Store And More

Etsy Inc ETSY was one of the biggest gainers in after-hours trading. The stock was up more than 5 percent to $13.99, after losing 0.75 percent in the regular session.

The other big winner was the Container Store Group Inc TCS, a small-cap specialty retailer that saw its stock rise about 1.16 percent during the day, and an extra 6 percent after the bell. The rise was mainly driven by an earnings beat. The company retrieved a net loss of $(0.11) per share, $0.02 ahead of expectations.

Among the most active stocks in after-hours was Bank of America Corp BAC, which fell 1.36 percent Tuesday. What’s interesting here is volume: more than 8.3 million shares of the company had been traded since the NYSE closed on Tuesday. The high volume could be driven by the announcement that the bank has been successfully integrated and certified into Fidessa Group’s Canadian trading platform.

One of the biggest losers on late Tuesday was NetEase, Inc (ADR) NTES, which fell 3.14 percent during the day as Chinese stocks experience a marked selloff. After hours, losses continued: shares declined 4.14 percent to $129.78.

NOW Inc DNOW leads the list of the biggest tumblers. After falling 0.47 percent Tuesday, the stock lost almost 8 percent in the after-hours session, trading at $17.58 on relatively low volume. Volume had been unusually high on Monday and Tuesday trading.
