Cinedigm Says OTT Channels Topped 2 Million App Installs

Cinedigm Corp. CIDM revealed that, in aggregate, its over-the-top streaming channels – Dove Channel, CONtv and Docurama – have more than two million app downloaded and 420,000 registered users. Aside from that, the company said that the channels had about 35,000 active subscribers as of March 31, the last reporting date in all platforms.

Cinedigm Chairman and CEO, Chris McGurk, commented, "We are thrilled that our 3 channels have generated such interest and enthusiasm among consumers. CONtv is just over a year old and Dove Channel launched last September, so we believe this early success bodes very well for the growth prospects of all our channels."

The company indicated its Dove Channel was targeted to the faith and family audience and offered meaningful mainstream movies, independent films and documentaries, to heartwarming TV series and children's programs. According to the company, all of Dove Channel's were carefully curated content reflecting the time-honored standards of The Dove Foundation and its trusted Faith & Family Seal of Approval.

Cinedigm said its OTT channels could be viewed in a broad spectrum of connected devices including Roku Players and Roku TV models, Android and Mac iOS, the web, and mobile and tablet devices. Apart from that, all three channels were now available to Amazon Prime members as part of the online retailer's new Streaming Partners Program.

Shares of the company traded 15.9 percent higher on Wednesday.
