USD/CAD Moves Up, Canadian Raw Materials Prices Fall

USD/CAD is trading at 1.3049, up 0.0036. The pair is trading at session highs. Trading is moderately choppy. Statistics Canada data showed the nation's industrial producer prices (IPPI) rose 0.2 percent in July versus a rise of 0.6 percent in June. On the year IPPI was down 1.3 percent versus a 0.8 percent drop in June. The Raw Material Price Index (RMPI) fell 2.7 percent on the month and was down 5.7 year over year. Canada's second quarter current account deficit widened to C$ 3.3 billion to C$19.9 billion, largest since the third quarter of 2010.
