, a leading provider of technology-enabled communication services, today announced it has completed the acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Intrafinity, Inc., doing business as SharpSchool, a leading provider of website and content management system (CMS) software-as-a-service solutions for the K-12 education market. The purchase price was approximately $19 million. SharpSchool will be integrated into West's SchoolMessenger business. SharpSchool was founded in 2001 and has earned a reputation for excellence in product development and innovation. SharpSchool currently serves approximately 4,500 schools in 900 districts throughout the U.S. "The team at SharpSchool has built a great business by focusing on the communication needs of schools. We look forward to working together and continuing to innovate on behalf of our customers," said Robert Iskander, General Manager of SchoolMessenger. "Schools and school districts are increasingly looking for a bundled package of services from providers. We believe the combination of SharpSchool's valuable products and talented team with SchoolMessenger's sales and support infrastructure will result in a world-class, integrated solution of notifications, mobile app and website solutions for our existing clients and the entire K-12 education market. The combined entity is also expected to result in a more efficient and faster growing K-12 business for West."
