Livestock Futures Close Sharply Higher In Choppy Trading

February Live Cattle settled the choppy trading day up sharply 2.70 at $158.525. March Feeder Cattle settled higher by 1.525 at $213.775 after opening sharply down with trading limits expanded. February Lean Hogs were 1.40 higher at $81.875 in a choppy but higher session as traders and investors are squaring positions ahead of the holiday next week. The USDA Quarterly Hog and Pig report is scheduled to be released next Tuesday, December 23.
