Speaking on
CNBC's Fast Money
, Josh Brown said that
Yahoo! Inc.YHOO
is now a number one target for activist shareholders and hedge funds in the United States. He added that there is absolutely no doubt in his mind that they are going to allow
Yahoo! Inc.'s
management to use a half of 12 billion dollars to do a buyback and than to experiment with the other half without getting involved. Brown believes that somebody is going to get involved until the end of the year and judging by the price action on Friday he wouldn't be surprised if someone has already started to accumulate. This name has been an activist target before, Dan Loeb made a fortune at much lower levels. Josh Brown hasn't decided to make a trade based on this idea, but he might do that. Pete Najarian added that he is wondering if
Yahoo! Inc.
is going to become a takeover target. He is buying call spreads in this name.
Yahoo! Inc.
fell 2.74 percent and it closed at $40.93 on Friday.
