The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Tobacco Products, Other: This industry slipped 2.3 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Alliance One International, Inc. AOI, which fell 1.4 percent. Alliance One shares have declined 8.01 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 6.06 percent in the same period.
  • Home Health Care: This industry declined 1.6 percent by 11:00 am with Surgical Care Affiliates Inc SCAI moving down 2 percent. Surgical Care Affiliates is expected to release Q3 financial results on November 1, 2016.
  • Jewelry Stores: This industry fell 1.5 percent by 11:00 am ET. Commercial Signet Jewelers Ltd. SIG shares dropped 1 percent in today's trading. Signet shares have declined 44.70 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 6.06 percent in the same period.
  • Diversified Computer Systems: The industry dropped 1.3 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was Cray Inc. CRAY, which declined 1.6 percent.
