The Wall Street Journal
reported on Monday that the two companies were close to a deal. The transaction is expected to close by December 31, 2015. TE Connectivity shares rose more than 4% Wednesday, closing at $67.45. CommScope shares rose 6%, closing at $27.13.

Advent was not available for comment. Advent Software shares gained almost 10% Wednesday, closing at $41.63. SS&C Technologies shares gained 2%, closing at $54.54.

The transaction is expected to increase KCG`s tangible book value by approximately $2.00 per share. The deal is expected to be completed in Q2 of 2015. KCG shares closed Wednesday at $11.99, up $0.02.
