indicated that it is fully committed to keeping its customers connected in the upcoming hurricane season, i.e. before, during and after storms. According to the telecom service provider, it has one of the industry's biggest and most advanced business continuity, as well as, disaster response programs to make sure its networks stay up and running. The company's South Caroline President, Pamela Lackey, said, "Staying connected during severe weather events is critically important to consumers, businesses and our emergency management officials. That's why AT&T is investing tremendous amounts of resources in our network reliability and disaster response capabilities." AT&T said that no one knows when the next tropical storm or hurricane would hit the coastline. However, the company is fully geared with one of the country's biggest and most advanced disaster programs. It invested over $600 million in the Network Disaster Recovery (NDR) program. The company added that it has an arsenal of equipment ready for deployment. That included over 300 technology and equipment trailers, which could be quickly deployed, making it one of the country's biggest and most advanced disaster programs. The company indicated that its NDR team works to make sure the right people and tools are in place and ready near the storm impact area. The telecom service provider added that they work with its other response teams, local AT&T network personnel, regional Emergency Operations Centers and the Local Response Center to prepare. AT&T said that it conducts its readiness drills and simulations year-round to keep networks and its people ready to respond at a moment's notice. NDR will complete its 75th full-field recovery exercise this year. The stock traded 0.03 percent higher on Friday.
