Accenture PLC ACN agreed to acquire Aachen, Germany's engineering consulting and services firm, umlaut.
The financial terms of the transaction remain undisclosed.
The acquisition will scale Accenture's engineering abilities to help companies employ digital technologies like cloud, artificial intelligence, and 5G.
Accenture held $9.2 billion in cash and equivalents as of Feb. 28, 2021.
Price action: ACN shares traded higher by 0.99% at $285.28 in the premarket session on the last check Monday.
